Is this a good year?
Filed Under Uncategorized | 2 Comments
My Godbrother is getting married this weekend. After the initial congrats, I started thinking. Is this a good year to get married? With the economy in shambles, I’d thought they would reschedule for 2012 or something. My Godbrother is one of the many that got laid off, and can’t find work in his profession. Guess what? His fiancee is in the same situation. Hmm..
Now, I can’t but laugh. This is the rush I’m talking about. I know, I know. Love has no time limit right? The love will outlast the financial problems. The top reason is for marriages ending so early are because of: sex, and financial woes. If the money isn’t flowing, neither is the love.
I’m just saying it’s not good to start off a marriage like this. Not now anyway! I would wait until the economy is somewhat stable. It could be years, but at least you won’t have to worry about finding a way to pay back all those loans you took out for wedding ceremony and dress. I’d love to hear from the other side of the coin.I’m not saying it’s not managble. Especially if you’re banking and have an huge income. So, I was wondering if there are any married people here that would like to chip in, and share a few words with us. Is there anyone that got married recently in 2008?Break it down for house. Give us the inside scoop. how are you holding up? Are you doing good?

An Apology
Filed Under Uncategorized | 3 Comments
Boy, I have to admit. I do have trouble getting my point across. This past week, I was ready one of my blog posts and I that upset a young married lady. This was not my attention and allow me to reintroduce my stance. It’ s been hazy, I know. Because I’ve been typing out of frustration. I didn’t (meant) to say that all marriages are destined for the hell hole. I’m just saying, marriage is something that is turning into something no longer sacred.
We as people are too busy with our lives, we want something constant, fast, and quick because we are not so patient. You know those “I want to get married before I’m 26″ etc , people who see themselves with a goal for love. Just rushing it, and seeing they are in a bad predictament, because they were lying to their spouse and to their selves. That’s what I meant by the liars. I meant that people who rather speed up things, and never stay and stick it out.
Which lead me to another point about my previous posts. Yes, I do hate marriage. Let me finish, I do hate marriage not because of what it is, but what it has become. Allow me to add the fact, that I respect sacred marriages. If you guys are in love, then whoopee! That is great. I’m elated, and I am for it. What I do agree with is people marrying just because they don’t feel like being lonely, so they rush it. This is a trend setting, and that’s what I strongly agree with. The mainstream view of it. The vegas elope places, the way it’s displayed on tv.
So, yeah I apologize sincerely if I offended my readers.

Who can we blame?
Filed Under Uncategorized | 3 Comments
Who can we blame for institiion of marriage being so corrupt? So out of wack. It’s not logical as it once was. Nor, it is changing for the better. Better yet, what can be done to better the sacred of marriage? Hell, what is love? what is really love? Is it liking someone who is fiananically stable and some ont to get along with? damn, sure looks like it. I feel sorry for all you cats and felines out there. Here you are, abusing something and well, different parts of the world have arranged marriage like in old times. You are lucky your parents didn’t shack you up with someone you depsise at the age of four.
I know, I know. Life in America moves fast. We need a lover to keep up, as well as the reast of the world. Needy, needy, needy. Afraid to acknowledge our faults and quick to put the blame. Most likely, no one forced you to marry anyone. So why blame anyone but yourself. The logic isn’t making sense. Of course, I mean in general, not you(the person that’s reading this post)

Custody. My Proposal.
Filed Under Uncategorized | 1 Comment
I reading about single/separate in reference to my previous posts. I happen to agree with his statement. There are a few cases where the child can turn out ok. There are also cases where the child is damage beyond hopeful repair. A child who is accepts his mother and father as single may not have a problem. The kid who is raised in a religious household is lead to believe marriage is sacred. Now, what happens when what he is taught goes down the drain? Disaster. He goes through things emotionally that some can relate to.
The article went on to say that joint custody is a bad thing. How could it be a bad thing? I happen to disagree. It’s all about management and the willingness of both parents to work out an agreement. If the child is old enough to decide, he should choose. It doesn’t mean he or she loves them any less(though, it could, but it doesn’t have to in all cases). Now, if it’s an infant, I think the chld should have both parents equally involved in the child’s life. Joint custody would be ideal. Although, my theory of Joint custody is different. My definition would be every few yrs, the child can go on to live with the child. For example, Father gets the first years. Wife gets the next 9 years. Time is split, both are influential in the child’s life. Starting with the early years which are just an importance as the teenage years where the child needs guidance. It works out beautifully.

History has been made
Filed Under Uncategorized | 1 Comment
This past week, history was made. The United States of America elected it’s first African-American president–Barack Obama. that was not all the history achieved on election night. The infamous prop 8 was passed, banning gay marriages in California. It was an ironic twist, seeing that California isa liberal state. The huge obama turnout is the reason for the proposition for passing through. According to CNN, over 70 percent of blacksand two- thirds of the hispanic voted yes to ban gay marriage.
Now, this is the really twisted part. Seeing how hispanics and blacks faced discrimination throughout the history of It’s essentially the same fight when you really think about it. It’s civil rights. Who cares if sarah marries jill? Or Bobby marries Joe the gay guy. If people want to get married and see how much marriages sucks, then go right ahead! On a serious note, Are people just so stubborn to let people enjoy their life that they must interject in every aspect of their life? Pretty soon, the government will start putting homemade devices on gays and lesbians and follow them around. This law makes me sick, it’s like what hitler did to the jews before he started slaughtering them. Taking away human rights one by one. I myself, believe that homosexuality is more of a inate thing rather than a nurture(unless, you are in prison, then it’s a mental-nurture).
We are taught in high school, separation of church and state. But, we don’t follow it.It’s just a way to say to the agnostics “get off our backs.” It’s sickening and I myself if I were in california, vote no for it. After all, I did in florida, Amendment 2. I’m for the equality of the human race.

Divorce. How does it affect Children?
Filed Under Uncategorized | 2 Comments
Divorce is happening at a rapid speed. Sixty percent of Americans have been divorced. How about common law marriages? how long do they last?
In America, there are couples who have children out of wedlock. These couples go on to raise their kids as common law married couple. However, How does affect the kids? Are kids in a born into a legitimate marriage more likely to be hurt emotionally than non-married kids?
Dating couples usually are in and out of the relationship. The kid knows this and probably respects the fact that his father and mother are not soulmates. He can grow up, unaffected by a different man or woman in the household and probably deal with it like it’s nothing.
How does a kid born into wedlock get affected? Well, this kid is lead on to believe that is parents are for each other and that they belong together forever until the end. When their parents split, they are troubled. Can never imagine such an brutal reality, though it’s happening. Their emotions are unstable.
Why does the kid have to go through something like that? isn’t that torture? I mean, look at history. Especially, in mammals. Are we ever monogamous? It’s a sickening no. We change partners like we change our pants. Eh, when we do this, teaching our kids that forever, it’s damaging mentally. We should just say, “look son/daughter. Nothing is forever, Your mother and I aren’t forever.”
It will save the hurt in the long run.

Our roles

I was reading about the marriage obsession . I’d have to agree with the author’s point of view. I’d like to also give a different point of view; from a male point of view. For years, Marriage has been included because of religion practices. It grew into something which has been considered a rite of passage for centuries. As civilization gets older, and we we get wiser. Generation x are independent. In this new era, there are different ways to show affections to our partners. There are ways to settle down without going through the screwed laws of marriage. If marriage is a religious thing, then sure go ahead, and follow it. I won’t knock that, but when it falls into category or government and religion, it’s a blurry line. I don’t think the government really cares about your marriage commitment to yourself or your religion. It’s probably on the back burner of their concerned problems. It has to be a cash cow producer. Instead of parting your ways, and continuing on with life, you are stuck in debt(probably more before you got married) but, at least you are off the hook.
With the identity of being called “Mrs.” with the addition to a spouse’s last name is ridiculous; Absolutely absurd. Your identity is stripped and you are adapted to your “new” name. Does this remind anyone of something? Sure, sounds like slavery to me. When the masters use to give slaves new names, to forget about their lives. I guess it’s ok to think of it from now a domestic side of slavery. Whoops. I meant marriage?

The Economical Crisis and Marriage.
Filed Under Uncategorized | 1 Comment
The DOW dropped below 8 thousand points. Trillions of dollars lost. America’s worst economic downfall since the great depression. This has me wondering, how well will the marriages hold up? Just recently, a man murdered his family than shot himself, because he could not find a job for months. Ouch, Where is the love? Maybe he did it, because he felt sorry for his family. Like a mercy killing in a sadaistic sick kind of way. Now, needless to say, the guy was a wacko. How much did this guy love his family in order to slaughter them? eerily, this exact same case reminds of the wrestler who strangled his wife and child. How are ordinary couples and families holding up?How do they deal with the stress, especially during this economical crisis. I predict they will be more splits and separations. Think about it, if couples were getting separations before, now, it’s legitimate reason to get a split from your spouse, before you go crazy. It all makes sense. The bigger the problems are, we should run away. I couldn’t agree more. I’m just siding with statistics folk. With the Crisis, Divorce may temporaririly not be an option, causing a loveless marriage to stay . On the other hand, gives couples a chance to work on saving their marriages.

The True Benefits of Marriage
Filed Under Uncategorized | 2 Comments

According to a study conducted by special forces, Scientists find that Married people have higher pyschological and physical levels, compared to someone who is single. Now, that may seemed all fine and dandy to the “Hollywood ending.”
According to the Associated Press, 6 out of 10 couples divorce. That is 60% percent of the American couples. If married couples have the highest pyschological out of single people and un-married people, they will most likely have the worst pychological levels. Bringing many depressed Americans, financial trouble, and pain.
Marriage is a practice of Religion. If the government is separated againsts religion, why are we still practing it? Why should married couples received tax breaks and other incentives for being married? I see it as a temporary break. Call me cynical, but I don’t think it’s due to last a life time. The human race are not of a monogamous nature. Look through out the histroy books. Even, the Holy Books. Child Kings, having concubines, prophets have multiple wives.
Marriage isn’t true happiness, it’s a temporary relief from pain. 60 percent of couples are liers. Not true to their word and true to their spouse. Many people do not consider the physical aspects of marriage. Only the disney ones. Many are quick to jump the gun and get married. With no idea, what is in store for the future.
Now, I’m not saying that everyone who gets married is a lier, a master deceiver. I’m just saying, if the majority are, how can you trust you mate? Oh, that’s just the problem. You can’t. Nothing is guaranteed anymore. Sadly, not even the sacred promise of marriage.
