Filed Under Uncategorized | 3 Comments
Yes, one day there will be a cure. But, until than we need to make sure we are using condoms. condoms, and more condoms. Right now their is only medication that can slow down the growth of HIV/AIDS. Until theirs a cure individuals are taking med to prolong there life. HIV positive persons can live an normal life and don’t think that there sex drive stops. HIV/AIDS person hold jobs today. You really don’t know who has it or not. they look like you and me. and health look great. so, you really can’t tell who has it. you never know some of our leaders. may be HIV positive and there family members. not just the street workers and low class persons. with the medication today you will never know. there are so many medication today. years ago HIV person had to take so many pills to stay alive and at times that didn’t help. but now they can only take one pill at night at bed time. so there has been progress over the 25 years. maybe one day there will be a cure when we all start using protection and be educated, tested and aware of HIV/AIDS. its not a death sentence anymore.

O.K. we have talk about the cons now lets about the pros of having an HIV test. well the first thing would be just knowing your HIV statues. knowing for sure that you are clean from this deadly disease and you are not putting anyone else in danger. and If Your a pregnant female, your child has a great chance being born Healthy. Now, lets say that a person is HIV positive and they did tell some love ones and some friends. that person is hanging out with you not knowing that they were going to fall and hit there head, So, the HIV positive friend pass out and started bleeding. Since, you have the knowledge that they are HIV positive you know how to protect yourself and others. See its very important that we make sure that our love ones including friends get the best of care. that would be one life save and no one gets infected unwillingly. And know your statues will keep your sexual relationships open to ask those trust questions that we so hate to bring up. Like I said World AIDS Day is coming up. Filed Under Uncategorized | Leave a Comment
I read about please stop saying it’s all up to me. http://find.galegroup.com/itx/retrieveesit is all up to you to get HIV tested. Having an HIV test can help save your life and save someone else’s to. I do agree with this article because people should know the HIV statues. So, many people are dieing with this crazy disease and we act like we don’t care at all. So, what you may find out your HIV positive, life isn’t over at all. it’s just being for you. now you can get some medical help that you have been putting off because you were so scared of getting tested. yes, some people may think that life is over. remember we are born to die. sad to say we are not going to live forever on earth. so why not get your health in order. I know have heard it all. there’s nothing new that I haven’t heard from people. I don’t want to know, I will die with it before I find out, I will kill myself, I wont be able to handle disappointment. My family will disown me. No one will love me. Yes I have heard it all. but why be given a life and not take care of yourself. God has given us once to live and once to die. ya!! I said it again. So I think that we all should just grow up now and do what we must do. What will we do if we were told our doctor that we had any-other illness.HA! what would we do and how would we handle that. Have you ever been through an HIV education presentation, or look at any videos showing you how the HIV virus is transmitted, or affects the body. You wont die from AIDS, your death certificate wont say AIDS, it will say heart failure, pneumonia, and cancer. Think about some one you know and they pass away and you thought they where in great health. Or you received a phone call saying they only have three days to live and the family tells everyone they had cancer for a long period of time. Would you believe that would you? Then later on you find out they died from not getting treatment for there HIV because they where embarrass. Now is the time. Don’t put your family through all that pain and suffering. Yes, Its all up to you to get tested for HIV and STD’s. They work together you know. If you have been with more that than three people you need to know.

The question is what are some cons of not knowing your HIV positive. you can become very sick. Another, reason if you have a family and they may see you acting differnt and not understand what is going on with you. Now we know how HIV is transmitted right. I hope we all do . if not its blood to blood, sprem. female cecreations, breast milk. lets say you fell down and hit your head and started bleeding. and a family member comes to help you out trying to stop the bleeding. And you did’nt know your HIV positve. and they get infected because they had serval small cuts on there hands or a hang nail they have been picking at. then that family member or love one(child, husband, wife, friends,co-worker,etc) have sex with there love one and spread the virus to them. Have you ever thought about how many lives will be shorten because you never took an HIV test. even not knowing your statues you can develop so many different infections that could take your life very quickly. Now not only you don’t know your statues but your love ones as well and there family too. this is how HIV is spreaded daily. where do you fit in this crazy circle. think about this some of us may love oral sex!!! (Smile) do you you you can contract HIV as well. think about we know that blood is in mst of every fuild in our bodies. so, if your licking the bowl and the ream you are at risk. and women if your going where no man has gone . be very very careful. condoms is a must please hear me!!! World AIDS Day is coming up. lets see how many of you are welling to get tested and know your statues. ( United Deliveance communtiy resource center is located at 3600 Broadway west Palm Beach, offer Free HIV test very confindetal believe me.and you will find out and 20mins. take a friend with you for support. Now think about those cons.

Living with HIV/AIDS
Filed Under Uncategorized | 3 Comments
We know there is no cure for HIV or AIDS. Research has adavance and HIV/AIDS treatment greatly since the days of the epidemic, and HIV drugs can slow down the virus’s that attacks on the human immune system. People with HIV/AIDS can now live healthier, longer livesd. People livivng with HIV/AIDS have to keep up with their HIV doctor who can mointer there health and medication. The decision to start treatment is very personal decision and one that should not be taken lightly. Years ago, life exceptisy was very short. But, now peoplePeople are now living longer with HIV/AIDS between 15- 25 or more years. We know more about it now. United States may not have an cure as of yet but, we are further long then 1982. Now HIV/AIDS is not a death sentence anymore. There are so many people with HIV holding down jobs and making decisions for our counrty. I read about STD’s http://www.cdc.gov/std/stats/trends2006.htm. Do you know std’s can make you acceptable to catch HIV. When was the last time you had sex without a condom and got burn. this should really make you think about it more. Now people are herpes 2 in there mouth instead of there Virgina or penis area. Everyone wants to have Oral sex now more than ever. Some of us feel that if we have Oral sex we are out of the wood of catching HIV or any other diseases. the younger generation feels they are safe from anything other than harm. well sad to say that HIV has no knowledge of who you are what age you are or how many times you have Oral or intercourse with your partner. Do you know how many partners your partner has had. And If they had contracted any std’s. You have so many std’s that can be contracted through sex. There’s Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, syphilis, and Hep A,B,C. and many more. Do you know that you can have Hep C and Syphilis and not know it. Women we all want to have kids one day. If you don’t know STD’s can sterilize you and you would be unable to have kids. And another thing if your planning on getting pregnant or maybe pregnant and have an STD’ without treatment your child will be born with disabilities.YES, you can. most people wont know about there health until they get tested. so, can will get tested for HIV and STD’s. there are so many places to get tested. the Palm Beach County Health Department, Community Base Agencies.

I was reading about HIV turning into AIDS. http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/resources/qa/qa4.htm It can take up to ten years for HIV turns into AIDS. So, why not get tested. yes, its a scary test to take but, its worth your life. Not taking the HIV test can cause you serious problems down the road. It will decrease your options for treatment, and a longer life. We only have one life to live right! so, why not make sure that you are healthy. If a person found out they are HIV positive, they can get into medical care early and get treatment. find out there T- cell count and Viral Load. Some people don’t even have to take medication and still have a healthy life. but, if you wait to late you will need medication and have to continue to see the doctor more then you expect to. Your hair will get fine like a baby, and you will lose a lot of weight because you can’t keep any food down and trash in your mouth. Do you really want that all because you didn’t want to take an HIV test. Think about it if you have children, do you really want them to see you in that stated. I don’t think so. Lets man and women up and get tested. if not for yourself but, for your family. HIV is just like any other disease. You can fight it and beat it mentally. so, lets not think of it as adeath sentence. life is too short to just give up and just let a virus take total control of our lives.

What are your reasons? How many can you think of. Some of us have so many reasons why we wont take an HIV test. One reason, is we believe that we can’t catch the HIV virus because they only have one partner, and they think one another is faithful. Ha! Ha! really, what is faithful mean to you. That he make love to you and have sex with someone else. Second reason, I don’t know anyone with HIV, and you have to be “GAY”. Third reason, you have to be on drugs and homeless. What I don’t know wont hurt me. so, I know my man or female is clean. Finally, I havent’ had a sex in a while. One thing about HIV don’t won’t know if you have it unless you get tested.Think about if you found out while you are pregnant, in a long time relationship, and you have children you will leave behind. Now when will you take your test. you can go to any Palm Beach County Health Department to get tested or any Non- profit agenies who can assist you with a HIV test. We don’t have no excuse at all. Free, Free, Free, yes their free HIV test. they can be confidential. so, lets run out and get one. we don’t have no excuse now right! Think about! Call 211 For locations near you.

No one wants to talk about HIV/AIDS
Filed Under Uncategorized | 2 Comments
No one wants to talk about HIVAIDS. Why? Are we so scared that we are at risk due to our risky behaviors. How many of us only had one sexual partner within the last 2-5 years. Yes, how many of us. we need to realize the the Holy Bible is only fulfilling itself. So why are we so scared to talk about it and take an HIV test.
Only you would know what risk you have been engaging in.It’s better to know then not to know about your HIV status. Yes, some of you may say my family will reject me. remember they rejected Jesus we’re no better then him are we.you may not think your at risk because you have been with one partner for three years or less and you think your relationship is mutual monogamists.
HIV can creep into a relationship when a partner male/ female has a weak moments where we are tempted. God was tempted by the devil. ” Luke 4:2-3 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. And the devil said unto him, If thou be the son of God, command this stone that it be bread.
HIV/AIDS doesn’t care if it gets a certain race, religion, culture, financial status. You can go to www.CDC.gov website.

What is HIV/AIDS really about?
Filed Under Uncategorized | 4 Comments
What is HIV/AIDS? How does it effect Human? When was the first case documented. Can I be infected with HIV.HIV is Human Immunodeficiency Virus. A virus that attacks the Human Immune system. Once the HIV cell attack your T-Cells , your body will produce HIV cells instead of healthy T- cells. And once your body as produce more HIV cells then healthy T- cells you will start getting sick. Your System will break down and you will be acceptable to catching illness you normally would be able to fight off; with some orange juice and vitamins.
It can take between two weeks to ten years for the HIV virus to show up. Wow! Really, yes a person can be infected and not know. Normally, if your a healthy person your body will fight it off long as it can. But, remember at sometime we do get weak, from working to hard and not getting enough rest , not eating a proper meal. And not getting tested for HIV.
As we know HIV can be pass on through humans, five ways. blood to blood, vaginal secretion, breast milk, and sperm. The moods of transmission are Mother to baby, intravenous drugs use, sex, and blood. The first AIDS case was documented in 1981. Doctors didn’t have a clue about what is was or how to treat it. All they knew it was killing people. No one knew who had AIDS Virus. When a lot of people starting getting sick and ended up at the hospital with symptoms weight loss, diarrhea, wasting, and T-cell less than ten. AIDS is Acquired Immunodeficiency Disease Syndrome. HIV is the virus that leads to AIDS. If your T-cells is between 300 you have HIV; But, if your T-cells are 200 and under you are Full blown AIDS. With a weak Immune system that weak you are acceptable of catching Opportunitnick Infections.
